Trips, Workshops etc.
Experiences beyond your regular dance class!
We're keen to expand our students' experience of dance and to give them a real appreciation of the art form and how much pleasure and fun it can bring into their lives. To this end, we try to keep you updated about local dance-related events and opportunities, including workshops, shows and cinema screenings and occasionally organise theatre trips giving students and their families the opportunity to enjoy live performances.Â
A few examples of our "extra-curricular activities" are given below...
A trip to London

In order to ensure correctly fitted pointe-shoes, we arranged a day trip to London for our older students to be professionally fitted with their first pair of pointe-shoes at Freed of London.

Beauty and the Beast Workshop with Birmingham Royal Ballet

Some of our students have taken up the opportunity to join in workshops run by Birmingham Royal Ballet, at their premises in Birmingham.  Here, some of our students are pictured with Brandon Lawrence, Principal Dancer with BRB, who led a workshop based on the choreography of the ballet Beauty and The Beast.
Theatre trips

Being based where we are in Derbyshire we have access to an excellent choice of theatres - in Birmingham, Buxton, Stoke-on-Trent and Nottingham - which host superb dance companies and often stage musicals direct from the West End.
We've arranged trips in the past to see Cats and Riverdance and here, a couple of our students are pictured with Vincent Simone after our trip to see his amazing show - Tango Moderno - with Flavia Cacace and a supporting cast of outstanding dancers and musicians.
